What Is The Purpose Of Solo?

Well many of you may think it is kind of weird to do a three-day solo. I thought I should tell you why we do this at Glengarry. There are a number of reasons.

For the whole semester we have been hiking with 20 other kids, you never get away from them. Solo is a time to get away and think and try and put together some meaning out of this Glengarry experience.

We had to write a letter home to ourselves which I will receive in one-years time. I had to reflect on what Glengarry had taught me and how I might use this to achieve my future goals.
